The Philips Sonicare for Kids could be your child’s first toothbrush. It uses the same technology as the adult Sonicare toothbrushes, but it is designed especially for kids.
The power levels, brush heads and bristles are specially designed for small, sensitive kid mouths. It ensures effective but gentle brushing with kid-friendly power settings that are less powerful than the other Sonicare electric toothbrushes.
Although it is gentle, it still removes up to 75 % more plaque in hard-to-reach areas than a manual toothbrush.
A timer helps your kid to reach the recommended two-minute brushing time by progressively increasing the length of brushing time over 90 days.
Fun sounds encourage your kid to brush both the front and back of upper and lower teeth.
The toothbrush comes with two distinct brush heads designed for the different development phases.
The handle is ergonomically designed and has interchangeable panels, so your kids can customize their toothbrush.
Reviews:
“The kids brush takes this wonderful brush down to the kids level. The sound emitted during the brush is nowhere as loud as it is on the adult brush so that helps. The ramp up speed is great for them to get used to this new way of brushing. And the idea of knowing when to switch to another side of your teeth and when it is over is so helpful.” (5 out of 5 stars)
“This isn’t something you can just hand the kids and say brush your teeth. They’ll need some instruction, and maybe even help with their first couple of uses. Still the above is a small issue, because overall this product does what it says, and what it should, which is: providing young kids with good, proper, and effective brushing.” (4 out of 5 stars)
“Despite the cartoony and colorful facade, Philips Sonicare for Kids is every bit a serious electric toothbrush that’s not going to kid around about dental hygiene. Feature by feature, this kid version is as sophisticated as my adult Sonicare model. The kid-friendly sound that is integrated with the timer, also encourages young ‘uns to brush correctly and adequately. If there’s one personal luxury parents should encourage their kids to adopt, IMHO getting used to a fine electric toothbrush is a good one. And Philips Soincare doesn’t sacrifice any dental benefits from making its product more kid-friendly. ” (4 out of 5 stars)
